Assessor & Verifier Awards

LLUK have revised the A1 assessor and V1 verifier award and developed new qualifications to meet the needs of the Qualification Credit framework (QCF).

You can select the qualification you need to do based on your specific role as an assessor or verifier. We have provided some information on each qualification below to enable you to identify the right qualification for you.

Assessor qualification

There are four new qualifications for assessors:

ActiveIQ Level 3 Award in Understanding the Principles and Practices of Assessment (QCF)
This qualification is intended for those who wish to gain an understanding of the principles and practices of assessment without any requirement to practice as assessors; Unit 1 ONLY.
 
ActiveIQ Level 3 Award in Assessing Competence in the Work Environment (QCF)
This qualification is intended for assessors who assess occupational competence in an individual's work environment; Unit 1 and Unit 2 
 
ActiveIQ Level 3 Award in Assessing Vocationally Related Achievement (QCF)
This qualification is intended for those who assess vocational skills, knowledge and understanding in environments other than the work environment (for example a workshop, classroom or other training environment); Unit 1 and Unit 3.
 
ActiveIQ Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement (QCF) 
This qualification is intended for those who assess both occupational competence in the work environment and vocational skills, knowledge and understanding in environments other than the workplace (for example a workshop, classroom or other training environment); Unit 1 and Unit 2 and Unit 3.
 

 

Quality Assurance qualification

There are three new qualifications for quality assurance:

ActiveIQ Level 4 Award in Understanding the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice (QCF)
This qualification is intended for those who wish to gain an understanding of the principles and practices of internal quality assurance without any requirement to practice; Unit 4 only.
 
ActiveIQ Level 4 Award in the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice (QCF)
This qualification is intended for assessors who assess occupational competence in an individual's work environment; Unit 4 and 5.
 
ActiveIQ Level 4 Certificate in Leading the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice (QCF)
This qualification is intended for those who lead a team of internal quality assurance staff; Unit 4, Unit 5 and Unit 8.
