The Level 3 Performance Analysis Award will give you a deep understanding on how to collate data on the technical, tactical/ decision-making and physical aspects of sport and exercise. Knowing how key performance indicators impact on results will allow players to develop and improve performance.

This course is suitable for anyone working at grass roots or any level of sports coaching, strength and conditioning, sports therapy or physical activity roles with an interest in performance analysis.

There are several studies that have shown coaches can only recall up to a maximum of 40% of a game and as little as 30%.

the applications we use during our learning program are available at no cost during and on completion of the course. You will require access to a pc or laptop to install the programs for your own use during the course and continue to use on completion of the course. If you do not have access to a laptop but wish to enrol on our course please do not hesitate in contacting us as we may be able to assist you during the course.

By the end of the course you will be:

  • Understand the performance profiles of sport in the context of performance analysis.
  • Understand both manual and digital systems for analysis of sport performance
  • Prepare for performance analysis using both manual and digital systems for different sports.
  • Analyse a match and record performance using a manual notational system.
  • Analyse performance using a video analysis system.
  • Prepare a report to show collated performance data and provide feedback to others.
  • Carry out a self-analysis on your own performance.

One of the crucial components of performance analysis is the filtration of information; it is very easy to bombard coaching staff and players with too much information. We show you how to breakdown information into manageable sizes that can be used by everyone to improve performance.

Level 2 Award in Manual Notational Analysis
